Welcome, this site will enable you to find out about our current production, our future productions and events, as well as giving an insight into this, the premier amateur dramatic society in the area.

Also included on this site is a fascinating look back at the Society's history, including numerous archive photographs (as far back as 1925!) and examples of previous programmes, and a page of links to other theatrical-based websites.

If you wish to find out more about the Society and its activities (or be included on its mailing list) please click on Contact Us. Otherwise, just sit back and enjoy looking over our fascinating site.

As a registered charity we are reliant on the generosity of our patrons and members to enable us to produce high quality productions that challenge our performers and enthrawl our audience. If you would like to make a donation to the society you can now do this via PayPal:

ChairmanIntroduction to the Society by the Chairman

Cody has been going from strength to strength and we are approaching our 100th year.  We have, in the past re-created some of the most challenging shows that have been on the West End stage, such as Jesus Christ Superstar (first Amateur Company to have been given the rights to stage this show following it’s run in the West End), Chess, The Producers and just recently A Chorus Line. We have been privileged to have received several awards from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) to which we are affiliated.

2015 saw a departure from our normal scheduled shows where we produced “Don’t Stop the Music” and this was a huge success for the Company, so much so that we are scheduling a follow-up to this in March 2018.

The programme that we have scheduled for the Company right through to 2018 is very exciting and represents a change from some of our more traditional productions you can find out all about them elsewhere on the website.  If you would like to be kept informed of all our shows, please sign up to our mailing list.

We are always looking for new members to join the Company, not only on stage, but especially to join our back stage crews.  We are particularly interested in people who are keen to learn new skills, such as how to become a Stage Manager, Sound Engineer and Assistant, Lighting Assistant, Properties Manager, Front of House Manager and many more besides.  So, if you would like to learn about any of the above roles, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
